Oct. 20, 2021 –  Former Bronx County prosecutor Tarek Rahman has been appointed to serve the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office as Executive Assistant District Attorney, joining District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah’s Executive Administration.

Rahman, who was officially sworn in on Oct. 18, 2021, became the fourth member of DA Rocah’s Executive Team, joining Amy Finzi, Chief Assistant District Attorney, Lila Kirton, Executive Assistant District Attorney for Intergovernmental Affairs and Criminal Justice Initiatives, and Berit Berger, Executive Assistant District Attorney for Policy and Strategic Initiatives.

“I am thrilled to welcome Tarek Rahman to my Executive Team,” DA Rocah said. “With over two decades of experience serving as a prosecutor at the state and county level, Tarek brings extensive skill, knowledge, and vision that will greatly enhance my team and our ability to ensure that safety, accountability, integrity and justice are secured here in Westchester County.”

Rahman will play an integral role serving the District Attorney, helping to direct and oversee the investigations and prosecutions handled by the office. He will also help develop and enhance the long term investigatory capabilities of various bureaus, and work to develop new and expanded strategic partnerships with law enforcement agencies throughout the county and state.

“To serve the District Attorney’s Office as Executive Assistant District Attorney and represent the people of Westchester County is a true honor,” Rahman said. “I look forward to working with District Attorney Rocah to pursue the goals of the Office as we continue to build confidence in our criminal justice system.”
