Local Criminal Court and Grand Jury Division

The Local Criminal Court and Grand Jury Division is comprised of seven branch offices throughout Westchester County, located in Greenburgh, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, White Plains, Yonkers, and Yorktown. These offices are responsible for prosecuting the majority of the more than 20,000 criminal cases originating in the County’s city, town and village courts each year. They also work closely with local law enforcement agencies, allowing the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office to maintain a strong presence in the communities it serves.

The Division also includes the Grand Jury Bureau, which prosecutes felony cases that are not assigned to one of the Office’s specialized bureaus.

Grand Jury Bureau
The Grand Jury Bureau handles felony cases that are not assigned to one of the Office’s specialized bureaus. Its responsibilities include determining appropriate charges, gathering evidence and other necessary materials, and conducting investigations to prepare cases for presentations to a Grand Jury. The Bureau also works with the New York State Office of Court Administration to impanel Grand Juries each month.
Greenburgh Branch
