Defendant: Richard P. Vincent (DOB 10/13/78)
July 8, 2019 -- Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced that Richard P. Vincent of Mount Vernon was arraigned on an indictment for the murder of another city man, Randy Streete, in March. Westchester County Court Judge David Zuckerman presided.
Specifically, Vincent was indicted by a Westchester County Grand Jury for the following:
- Murder in the Second Degree, a class A felony
- Manslaughter in the First Degree, a class B felony
Background
On March 13, 2019, a visiting friend found Randy Streete dead in a pool of blood in his basement apartment on South Sixth Avenue, Mount Vernon. The autopsy confirmed Streete died from an incised knife wound to the neck. The indictment alleges he was killed sometime between March 12 and March 13, 2019.
Richard Vincent and Streete were previously acquainted, and, Vincent had visited with Streete at his home March 12, 2019, where he was later found dead.
Assistant District Attorneys Laura Murphy, Chief of the Career Criminal Bureau, and Kerrie Williams, Deputy Chief of the Sex Crimes Bureau, are prosecuting the case.
