Yonkers man indicted over Alleged Rape and Sexual Abuse of Young Child

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced today that Josue Samuel Cabrera, 40 years old from Yonkers, was arraigned yesterday on a 6-count indictment charging him with the following:

  • Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child- 2 counts
  • Rape in the 1st Degree- 2 counts
  • Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree- 2 counts

Cabrera’s felony charges are related to his alleged rape and sexual abuse of a child under the age of 13 years old which occurred in December of 2025 in Yonkers.

Cabrera was arraigned by Judge Robert Prisco and was remanded without bail.

DA Cacace said: “The facts laid out in this indictment are nothing short of shocking. I am thankful for the swift arrest of this predator and promise to prosecute this case to the full extent of the law. Protecting our most vulnerable citizens will always be our office’s top priority.”

This incident was investigated by the Yonkers Police Department.

This case is being prosecuted by Child and Elder Abuse Bureau Chief Owein Levin.
