Defendant: Kevin Holloway (DOB 11/15/77)

Jan. 30, 2019 -- Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced Kevin Holloway of Dobbs Ferry has been indicted and arraigned in Westchester County Court on charges related to the death of his infant son.

A Westchester County Grand Jury indicted Holloway on the following charges:

  • Manslaughter in the Second Degree, a class C felony
  • Two counts of Reckless Assault of a Child, class D violent felonies
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor.

Background
On Jan. 22, 2018, in their Dobbs Ferry home, Holloway caused severe injuries to his eight-week-old son. The injuries to the inside of the baby’s head and brain were consistent with acute abusive head trauma and caused the infant’s death.

The case was investigated by the Dobbs Ferry Police and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant District Attorneys Paul Stein, Chief of the Child Abuse Bureau, and Joyce Miller, Deputy Chief of the Domestic Violence Bureau.
