Peekskill Man Sentenced to 7 Years in Prison for Sexual Abuse

February 26, 2026

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced that Lucio Lituma Uyaguari, 57, of Peekskill, was sentenced yesterday to 7 years in state prison, the maximum sentence allowed.

In January, Lituma Uyaguari was convicted after a jury trial of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a D Felony. He was sentenced yesterday by Westchester County Court Judge Anne Bianchi. Lituma Uyaguari will have a 10 year post release supervision term and will be required to register as a sex offender upon release from prison.

DA Cacace said: “I am grateful for the swift apprehension and the diligent prosecution of this predator. Crimes of this nature will not be tolerated and will always be met with the full force of the powers vested in the DA’s office. I hope this conviction and sentencing will offer closure to the victim.”

Lucio Lituma Uyaguari was arrested in December of 2024 in connection to the sexual abuse of an unconscious 20-year-old woman in Peekskill.

In her victim impact statement, in which she clearly outlines the lasting impact this crime has had on her life, the victim stated: “This experience took away my sense of safety, peace and trust. While he may one day move on, I will carry this pain with me for the rest of my life.”

The case was investigated by the Peekskill Police Department.

The case was prosecuted by Division Chief Wendy Parra and ADA Michael Levin of the Special Prosecutions Division.
