Sept 17, 2015 -- Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced that Christian Koch (DOB 06/27/75) of 104 South Broadway, Yonkers, New York was sentenced today to eight weekends in the Westchester County Jail on his April 23, 2015 guilty plea to:

  • one count of Perjury in the Second Degree, a class “E” Felony.

On March 21, 2014, the defendant, a former Yonkers Police Department Narcotics Unit detective and

Neil Vera (DOB 04/13/80) of 104 South Broadway, Yonkers, New York who was charged with and previously pled guilty to:

  • one count of Perjury in the Second Degree, a class “E” Felony,
  • two counts of Official Misconduct, class “A” Misdemeanors,

swore falsely, and the false statement was made in an application for a search warrant for “141 School Street, apt#3, Yonkers, New York”.

The false statement was made with intent to mislead a Yonkers City Court Judge in the performance of his official functions signing the warrant.

The defendants surrendered to the Yonkers Police Department Internal Affairs Division who assisted in the criminal investigation.

Vera was sentenced on May 28, 2015 to six months of weekends in the Westchester County Jail.

Assistant District Attorney Berit Huseby and Assistant District Attorney Brian Fitzgerald of the Public Integrity Bureau prosecuted the case.
