Hugo Horacio Perez-Gabriel was previously indicted on 22 charges involving the production and possession of child sexual abuse material.

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace announced that Hugo Horacio Perez-Gabriel, 32, of New Rochelle, was indicted on multiple charges in connection with the sexual abuse of a New Rochelle boy.
 
Perez-Gabriel was charged with Rape in the Third Degree, Criminal Sexual Act in the Third Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence, all class E felonies, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor, and Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree, a class B misdemeanor.

He was arraigned on the charges Tuesday morning before Judge Robert Prisco, where he pleaded not guilty. Judge Prisco ordered him remanded pending further proceedings.
  
DA Cacace said: “Any abuse of children, not to mention repeated sexual abuse, is especially grotesque. My administration is committed to holding abusers accountable, and this new indictment represents that unwavering commitment. The children of Westchester are our legacy, and we must do everything in our power to ensure their safety.”

Perez-Gabriel was previously indicted on 22 counts related to his alleged possession and promotion of child sexual abuse material. This earlier indictment includes two counts of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance, a class C felony, and 17 counts of Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony, among other charges. He was arraigned on this indictment on March 11 and pleaded not guilty. 

The investigation is being conducted by the New Rochelle Police Department.

The case is being prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Charlotte Gudis and Bureau Chief Christine Hatfield, both of the Special Prosecutions Division.
