“I am delighted to welcome Chris T. McNerney to the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office as Chief Criminal Investigator. His years of experience here in Westchester make him a good fit to lead our investigators and intelligence efforts in their efforts to serve justice. Chief McNerney has an impressive, well-rounded background and has cultivated important relationships throughout the law enforcement community. His 25-year career includes the study, practice and enforcement of the law. I look forward to working with Chief McNerney as he joins us in our mission to make Westchester County safer and more secure.”

*Chief McNerney will start at the DA’s Office Monday, Aug. 26, 2019. He will take over the role previously held by Matt Tormey, who resigned recently to pursue another position. The Chief will lead a staff, including 35 criminal investigators who are sworn officers of the law, and be a member of the DA’s Executive Team. He will also oversee the Westchester Intelligence Center.
