The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office offers full- and part-time internships for undergraduate students. Full-time internships are offered during the summer and part-time internships (10-15 hours per week) are offered during the fall and spring semesters. These programs offer students an opportunity to gain public service experience, working closely with ADAs on various aspects of prosecutorial work. Students will assist with the investigations and prosecutions of criminal cases, and trial preparation. Interns may have the opportunity to go to court to observe hearings and trials.

Spring Semester: Begins in January and concludes in May. Applications due by Nov. 1

The Office of the Westchester County District Attorney hosts a web-based portal through which criminal defense attorneys can receive discovery materials in a digital format. Files that can be transferred via the portal include audio and video as well as other digital files.

To register to use the portal, complete the registration form and submit it by e-mail as indicated on the form. Include the wording, "Discovery Portal," in your e-mail subject line.

Once your contact information has been entered, you will receive an e-mail invitation to join the portal.

The Office has opportunities for experienced police officers, as defined by Article 1.20(34)(g) of the Criminal Procedure Law. The Office endeavors to retain a complete listing of interested applicants should vacancies arise.

Investigators in the Office conduct investigations to assist in the legal work of the Office, therefore, applicants must have thorough knowledge of procedures, methods and techniques of criminal investigations.
