Defendant: Lamont Riddenhour (DOB 09/29/76)

April 17, 2020 -- Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced that Lamont Riddenhour of Mount Vernon was arraigned on a charge of arson for setting a fire that destroyed a house on South Tenth Avenue in Mount Vernon. The incident took place around 9 a.m. Sunday morning, April 12, 2020. There were no injuries.

Specifically, Riddenhour was arraigned today on Arson in the Second Degree, a class B felony, before Judge Thomas Quinones in Westchester County Court. The court set bail at $100,000/cash over $300,000/bond and $500,000 partially secured surety bond at 10%.*

His next court date is scheduled for June 4, 2020.

Deputy District Attorney Timothy Ward of the Superior Court Trial Division is prosecuting the case.
