Dec. 18, 2012 -- Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced that Alberto Gomez Ojeda (DOB 03/13/83) of 125 Lake Street, White Plains, New York, was sentenced today to an indeterminate term of 13 years to life in state prison on his guilty plea to:

  • one count of Predatory Sexual Assault in the First Degree, a class "A-II" Felony.

On March 30, 2012, shortly after midnight, the defendant approached a 26 year old female stranger, who was walking home alone from work in the area of Lake Street in White Plains.

The defendant brandished a knife and placed it against the victim's neck and face while dragging her down a dark driveway.

The defendant then sexually assaulted and forcibly raped the victim at knifepoint.

The defendant then fled the scene.

White Plains Police were immediately notified, canvassed the area and began an investigation.

The defendant was arrested by police on April 1, 2012.

After sentencing, District Attorney Janet DiFiore said, "It is every woman's nightmare to be walking home from work and accosted at knifepoint and forcibly raped. Aggressive detective work and forensics quickly tied this defendant to the crime, leading to his arrest and conviction."
