Reginald Parrish (DOB 11/14/76) of 4 Waring Row, Yonkers, NY, a third participant and Hill’s half brother, was scheduled to be sentenced today but received an adjournment due to a grievance filed by Parrish against his attorney. Parrish’s next court date is July 10, 2007.
On December 22, 2004, the three defendants and a fourth man confronted the victim on the street and accused him of stealing from Hill. The men then forced the 16-year-old boy into their car and drove him to John F. Kennedy Marina where they brutally attacked him, slashing his throat and stabbing him multiple times. The defendants fled, leaving the boy at the Marina.
District Attorney Janet DiFiore commented after the sentencing, “A young man was brutally attacked and barely managed to escape with his life. Thanks to the diligent work of detectives from the Yonkers Police Department and prosecutors from the District Attorney’s office, a persistent violent offender is off the streets and will spend the better part of three decades behind bars.”
Assistant District Attorney Heide Mason of the Superior Court Trial Division prosecuted the case.
