Message From Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. on Memorial Day Weekend

May 22, 2020 --“On this Memorial Day Weekend we remember to honor those who lost their lives in service to our country. While there can be no large gatherings or parades this year, we pause to remember them. Let’s honor their sacrifices and the sacrifices of all those who have lost their lives to the novel coronavirus which continues to plague our community as well.

Let us show that honor by following important safety precautions:

• Practice social distancing by staying more than six feet from others
• Wear a mask in public, but especially where distancing is not possible
• Do not congregate or take part in large gatherings
• Follow local rules established for the use of parks and recreational spaces

Most of all stay safe and stay healthy.”
