Feb. 13, 2018 -- Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced that Charles Burks of Yonkers has been arraigned on Murder in the Second degree (a Class A Felony) and other charges today in Westchester County Court in the killing of Dymere Graham, 30, on Riverview Place in Yonkers. The defendant pleaded not guilty before Judge Larry J. Schwartz.

The indictment alleges that on the evening of Dec. 7, 2017, Burks (DOB: 07/3/1986) shot Graham in the buttocks during a robbery. Yonkers police found the victim dead just before 8:00 p.m. in the alleyway between two buildings on Riverview Place. With the use of building security video police identified the suspects fleeing the scene. Burks faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison.

Co-defendant Kentrell Hill (DOB 07/15/1998), also charged with Murder in the Second  degree, was arraigned on Feb. 8, 2017 on this indictment.

Burks is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 28, 2018.

This case is being prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Strongin and Assistant District Attorney Perry Perone, Chief of the Homicide Bureau.
