Defendant: Glen Robinson (DOB 02/19/93)

Dec. 10, 2019 -- Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced Glen Robinson of Elmsford has been indicted by a Westchester County grand jury for hitting and killing a pedestrian with his car in front of the County Center in August. He was arraigned today in Westchester County Court before Judge Anne Minihan.
Specifically, Robinson is charged with:

• 2 counts of Vehicular Manslaughter in the Second Degree, a class D felony;
• 1 count of Criminally Negligent Homicide, a class E felony; and
• 2 counts of Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

Robinson is due back in court on Jan. 7, 2020.

Background
Just after 6:30 in the morning Aug. 24, 2019, prosecutors allege Glen Robinson was driving while intoxicated in White Plains. At the intersection of Tarrytown Road and Central Avenue, Robinson drove his Chevrolet Cruze into a pedestrian crossing the roadway by the Westchester County Center and then drove into the brick structure housing the clock tower, completely damaging the structure and the clock. The victim, Susan Benjamin-Bailey of the Bronx, was on her way to work. She was taken to White Plains Hospital where she died from her injuries.

Assistant District Attorney Laura Murphy, Chief of the Career Criminal Bureau, is prosecuting the case.
