Aug. 7, 2018 -- Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino extended congratulations to newly appointed Westchester County Department of Public Safety Commissioner Thomas Gleason, offering his assistance in the weeks ahead as Commissioner Gleason transitions into his new position.

“I wish Tom Gleason great success as he settles into his new role as commissioner,” Scarpino said. “These are challenging times we live in, especially for our men and women in blue, and they require strong leadership to meet those challenges. With more than 35 years on the job, a strong resolve and the respect of his many colleagues, I have every confidence Commissioner Gleason will lead the department with honor and integrity.”

Scarpino also applauded County Executive George Latimer’s appointment of Deputy Commissioner Terrence Raynor, who served as Chief Criminal Investigator in the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office under former DA Janet DiFiore. "I am extremely optimistic about the future of the Westchester County Police Department under Commissioner Gleason’s leadership and look forward working with him and Deputy Commissioner Raynor as partners in law enforcement."
