April 1, 2021 -- Alexis Rose was arraigned on March 31 in Westchester County Court for the murder of Shaun Hutchinson at the home of Rose’s ex-girlfriend on Warburton Avenue in Yonkers on March 5.

Rose’s presence at his ex-girlfriend’s home was in violation of an order of protection issued by Yonkers City Court.

Hutchinson, 41, a resident of Easton, Penn. sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rose, 35, of the Bronx, fled after the shooting but was arrested approximately two hours later following collaborative efforts of the Yonkers, Mount Vernon and New York Police Departments. He is charged with Second Degree Murder, and is being held at the Westchester County Jail.

“This is a terrible crime that left children without a father and an entire family traumatized, and we extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Hutchinson’s loved ones,” said Westchester District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah. “This tragic case highlights why it is so important to use every tool we have to keep guns out of the hands of people with histories of domestic violence.”

The case is before Judge Anne Minihan, AJSC, and is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Janelle Armentano and Kristina Dushaj.

The charges against the defendant represent accusations and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
