Sept. 29, 2017 -- Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced today that Lorcan Geraghty, forty-seven years old of Scarsdale, NY was arraigned on a felony complaint on Sept. 28, 2017 in Greenburgh Town Court and charged with:

  • one count of Promoting An Obscene Sexual Performance By A Child, a class “D” Felony,
  • one count of Possessing An Obscene Sexual Performance By A Child, a class “E” Felony.

Between Sept. 17 and Sept. 19, 2017, an investigator at the Westchester District Attorney’s Office determined that the defendant promoted an image containing an obscene performance including sexual conduct by a child less than seventeen years of age.

On Sept. 28, 2017, DA’s Office investigators executed a search warrant at the defendant’s residence and recovered computer devices.  Forensic analyses on the devices resulted in the recovery of additional files depicting children engaged in obscene sexual performances.

The defendant pled not guilty.

His bail was set at $25,000 cash over $50,000 bond.

The defendant faces seven years in state prison.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Laura Forbes of the High Technology Crime Bureau.
