Sept. 18, 2013 -- Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced that Richard Dinizo DOB (02/05/55) of 55 Fowler Avenue, Cortlandt Manor, New York was arraigned today on an indictment charging him with:

  • three counts of Predatory Sexual Assault of a Child class "A-2" Violent Felonies,

relating to three separate criminal sexual acts with three separate child victims.

Between March 1, 2008 and March 31, 2008, the defendant engaged in oral sexual conduct with a child. The defendant had the victim wear a mask over her eyes and play a "game." The defendant recorded the criminal sexual act.

Between Dec. 1, 2009 and Jan. 31, 2010, the defendant engaged in oral sexual conduct with a second child victim. The defendant had the victim wear a covering over her eyes and play a "game." The defendant recorded the criminal sexual act.

Between June 1, 2010 and July 31, 2010, the defendant engaged in oral sexual conduct with a third child victim. The defendant had the victim wear a mask and played what he called a "game." The defendant recorded the criminal sexual act.

All three of these sexual acts occurred at the defendant's home at 55 Fowler Avenue, Cortlandt Manor, New York.

Additionally, the Department of Homeland Security executed search warrants at the defendant's residence.

"This defendant's actions are both disturbing and depraved. Over a continuing period of time, he preyed upon and molested three young children, telling them that they were playing a "game." The ultimate irony in his depravity was that by recording the assaults, he ensured that he will be held accountable, said District Attorney Janet DiFiore.

The defendant's remand status is continued.

The defendant's next court date is Oct. 10, 2013.

He faces a maximum sentence of twenty-five years to life in state prison on each of the counts.

Second Deputy District Attorney Audrey Stone, Chief of the Special Prosecutions Division and Assistant District Attorney Kenneth Borden of the Special Prosecutions Division are prosecuting the case.
