GOLDMAN SACHS ATTORNEY ARRAIGNED FOR

SOLICITING AN UNDERAGE GIRL

 

 

                

Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced that Todd Genger (DOB 7/04/76) of 175 West 90th Street New York, New York was arraigned today on one count of Attempted Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor, a class “E” Felony.

 

For a three and one half month period from April 13th, 2009 to July 27, 2009, an investigator from the Westchester County District Attorney’s office, while acting in an undercover capacity, assumed the undercover role of a fifteen year old female and engaged in a series of “chat” conversations with the defendant via the Internet.

 

The investigator made it clear to the defendant that “she” was fifteen years old.

 

The defendant discussed specific explicit sexual acts in which he would engage the underage “girl”.

 

The defendant admitted to having the on-line conversations.

 

Genger was arraigned in White Plains City Court.

 

He was released on his own recognizance.

 

Genger’s next court appearance is scheduled for August 11th, 2009.

 

He faces a maximum of one and one third to four years in state prison.

 

Assistant District Attorney Laura Forbes, of the High Technology Crime Bureau, will prosecute the case.
