  • one count of Unlawful Imprisonment, a class “A” Misdemeanor,
  • one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class “A” Misdemeanor,

in connection with multiple rapes against five teenage female victims.

Over a four year period from April 1st, 2008 to March 24th, 2012, the defendant engaged in numerous acts of forcible rape, some with threats of violence, and multiple other sexual acts with five different victims all whom were teenagers at the time of the attacks.

The attacks occurred at various locations around the City of Mount Vernon including his apartment on South Fulton Avenue.

The defendant would use tactics of both physical and mental intimidation against the victims including a course of physical assault, threatening and stalking behavior designed to intimidate them into sexual acts. The defendant also followed some of the victims on public streets and repeatedly struck, restrained, threatened and choked them.

“The allegations contained in this indictment show how this defendant, a violent serial rapist, over a period of years preyed upon vulnerable young women in the City of Mount Vernon, by stalking, threatening, intimidating, and raping them. The courage shown by these victims to come forward surely has saved additional young women from becoming future victims,” said District Attorney Janet DiFiore after the defendant was arraigned.

The defendant was remanded to County Jail.

His next court appearance will be on June 26th, 2012.

The defendant faces a maximum of twenty five years to life in state prison on each of the top counts of the indictment.

Assistant District Attorney Christine Hatfield, Deputy Chief of the Child Abuse Bureau and Senior Assistant District Attorney Mary Clark-DiRusso of the Child Abuse Bureau will prosecute the case.
