County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced that Alberto Gomez Ojeda (DOB
· two counts of Predatory Sexual Assault in the First Degree, class A-II Felonies,
· one count of Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, a class B Felony,
· one count of Rape in the First Degree, a class B Felony,
· and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, a class A Misdemeanor.
The defendant approached the female and subsequently sexually assaulted and forcibly raped her at knifepoint.
The defendant fled the scene.
Plains Police were notified and began an investigation, and arrested the defendant
Ojeda was remanded and his next court appearance will be on
He faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison on the top counts of the indictment.
Assistant District Attorney Wendy Parra of the Sex Crimes Bureau is prosecuting the case.
