eight year sentence for defendant in RIVER TOWNS ABDUCTION

 

 

Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced that Reese Basile (DOB 11/23/74) of 20 Tappan Landing Road, Tarrytown, New York was sentenced to a determinate term of eight years in state prison for his guilty plea to the top count in the indictment charging him with:

 

           one count of Kidnapping in the Second Degree, a class “B” Violent Felony.

 

On September 19, 2011, the defendant and the victim, who was his girlfriend at the time, got into an argument at their residence in Tarrytown.

 

The defendant struck the victim numerous times with a starter’s pistol, told her he was going to kill her and then forced her at gunpoint to accompany him to a friend’s home in Sleepy Hollow.

 

Once arriving at 14 Chestnut Street, the girlfriend fled the scene.

 

The male victim called 911.

 

Sleepy Hollow Police responded and after a preliminary investigation as to the potential whereabouts of the defendant, arrested him in front of his residence in Tarrytown.

 

The female victim was treated for injuries including a large hole in one ear and a sprained neck and back.

 

Assistant District Attorney Amy Puerto, Deputy Chief of the Domestic Violence Bureau, prosecuted the case.
