Defendant:  Eric Lee a/k/a “Bubba” (DOB 12/10/91)

Nov. 1, 2018 -- The Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced defendant Eric Lee of Mount Vernon pleaded guilty to Murder in the First Degree in the death of Trevon Boswell and seven other charges in connection with a twelve-hour violent crime spree that began May 21, 2017. The series of violent robberies spanned several jurisdictions including Mount Vernon, New Rochelle and Yonkers in Westchester County as well as parts of the Bronx. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 18, 2018.

Lee and four co-defendants were arraigned on a 50-count indictment in July 2017.

Lee pleaded guilty today before Westchester County Court Judge Barry Warhit to the following:

On Indictment 17-0561 (the counts relate to the indictment):

  • Count One: Murder in the First Degree, a class A violent felony
  • Count Seven:  Attempted Robbery in the First Degree, a class C felony
  • Count Nine: Robbery in the First Degree, a class B violent felony
  • Count 24:  Attempted Murder in the First Degree, a class B violent felony
  • Count 44: Robbery in the First Degree, a class B violent felony

On Indictment 17-0630, Lee pleaded guilty to Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, a class B violent felony.

He also pleaded guilty to Promoting Prison Contraband in the First degree, a class D felony, on a separate indictment (Indictment 17-0706) based on an incident in County Jail July 3, 2017.

Background
Between May 21, 2017 and May 22, 2017, Eric Lee and others participated in a series of violent events including the murder of victim, Trevon Boswell of Mount Vernon, an intended robbery victim. The series of robberies lasted more than 12 hours taking the men across lower Westchester and into the Bronx.

Several law enforcement agencies, including the City of Mount Vernon Police Department, the City of New Rochelle Police Department, the City of Yonkers Police Department and the City of New York Police Department, worked collaboratively to get these violent offenders off the streets.
