Defendants: Kentrell Hill (DOB 07/15/1998); Charles Burks (DOB: 07/3/1986)

Oct. 17, 2018 -- Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced that Charles Burks and Kentrell Hill, both of Yonkers,  pleaded guilty to charges related to the death of another Yonkers man in December, 2017.

Specifically, Burks pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree, a class B violent felony, and Hill pleaded guilty to Robbery in the First Degree, also a class B violent felony. Westchester County Court Judge Barry Warhit accepted the pleas. Both men are scheduled for sentencing Jan. 9, 2019. They each face a maximum sentence of 25 years in state prison.

Background
On the evening of Dec. 7, 2017, Burks and Hill robbed Dymere Graham; and Burks shot the 30-year-old in the buttocks. Graham was left to die. Yonkers police found the victim dead just before 8 p.m. in the alleyway between two buildings on Riverview Place, Yonkers. With the use of building security video, police identified the suspects fleeing the scene.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Strongin, Deputy Chief of the Career Criminal Bureau, and Second Deputy District Attorney Perry Perrone, Chief of the Superior Court Trial Division.
