May 18, 2016 -- Acting Westchester County District Attorney James A. McCarty announced that
Michael Djukic (DOB 08/25/95) of 25 Lake St., White Plains, NY, was arraigned today on an indictment charging him with:

  • one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class “C” Felony,
  • one count of Criminal Facilitation in the Second Degree, a class “C” Felony,
  • one count of Tampering With Physical Evidence, a class “E” Felony,
  • one count of Hindering Prosecution in the Second Degree, a class “E” Felony

in the shooting death of Dominique Hospie.

On Sunday, April 17, 2016 at approximately 11:24 a.m. in the area of 91 North Kensico Ave. in White Plains, the defendant, along with co-defendant Aaron George was in a Chrysler Pacifica driven by Djukic. They drove to the above mentioned location.

Once there, defendant Djukic waited in the vehicle as co-defendant George exited the vehicle, approached the victim who was on Kensico Avenue and fired a handgun multiple times at him, striking the victim. Co-defendant George then ran back to and re-entered the vehicle where defendant Djukic was waiting in the driver’s seat and the two immediately drove off.

The victim was taken to Westchester Medical Center suffering gunshot wounds to the hand and back. He later died in surgery.

The defendant pled not guilty.

Bail was set at $200,000 dollars cash or bond.

His next court date is June 1, 2016.

Defendant faces a determinate sentence of between 3.5 and 15 years in prison.

Co-defendant Aaron George (DOB 02/08/95) of 396 Main St., White Plains, NY is scheduled to be arraigned on the indictment on Friday, May 20, 2016.

Deputy Bureau Chief Nadine Nagler of the Career Criminal Bureau is prosecuting the case.
