March 1, 2016 -- Acting Westchester County District Attorney James A. McCarty announced today that Isaac McKnight (DOB 02/02/92) of 134 Webster Ave., New Rochelle, NY plead guilty to the following charge:
- one count of Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, a class "B" Violent Felony.
The defendant was working as a part-time assistant teacher at a day care center in the Village of Tuckahoe. On Nov. 5, 2015 he sexually assaulted a four-year-old child at the center.
A joint investigation carried out by the Village of Tuckahoe police and the Westchester County District Attorney's Office resulted in McKnight's arrest on Nov. 12, 2015. He was subsequently arraigned on the above-mentioned charge.
The defendant remains on remand at the Westchester County Jail.
He is due to be sentenced on April 26, 2016.
Deputy Bureau Chief Christine Hatfield of the Child Abuse Bureau is prosecuting the case.
