On July 16, 2016 at approximately 5:15 p.m., defendant Bruce was walking on Willow Street in Yonkers when he fired a .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol striking a four year old girl in the leg. On July 26, 2016 at approximately 4:40 p.m., both Floyd Bruce and Lamont McLean, also charged in the incident, were on Palisade Avenue in Yonkers. Both defendants, armed with handguns, approached two men in a parked car. They proceeded to rob both men at gunpoint. Both defendants then ran from the scene.

On July 27, 2016, both defendants were arrested by the Yonkers Police Department. At the time of Bruce’s arrest, police recovered a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun that was in his possession. A ballistic test on the weapon matched it to the shooting which took place on July 16.
