Defendant:  Heriberto Morales (DOB 12/07/85)

July 20, 2018 -- Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced Heriberto Morales of Yonkers was arraigned Thursday, July 19, 2018, for the March 1, 2018, murder of Timothy Conkling of Yonkers.

He was indicted by a Westchester County Grand Jury on seven counts:

  • Murder in the Second Degree, a class A felony
  • Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class C felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a class D felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a class D felony
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence, a class E felony
  • Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation

Morales was remanded into custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for Monday, July 23, 2018.

The deceased, Timothy Conklin, did not live in Yonkers. At the time of his death, he was a driver for a private carting company.
