July 20, 2016 --Acting Westchester County District Attorney James A. McCarty announced today that Calman Greenburg (DOB 11/12/42) of 254 Westchester Avenue, Buchanan, New York,

was sentenced to twelve years in state prison after having pled guilty on May 18, 2016 to:

  • two counts of Course of Sexual Conduct in the First Degree, a class “B” Violent Felony,
  • one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the Second Degree, a class “D” Violent Felony.

The defendant pled guilty to sexually assaulting three Westchester children who were all younger than thirteen years old over the period of time between June 1, 2004 and Feb. 1, 2010 involving multiple acts of sexual abuse, rape and oral sexual conduct.

After an intensive investigation conducted by the New York State Police and the Special Prosecutions Division of the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, the defendant was arrested on July 18, 2015.

The defendant was remanded to the custody of the New York State Department of Corrections.

Along with his prison sentence, the defendant must register as a sex offender. He may also be subject to civil confinement after he has served his sentence.

Assistant District Attorney Christine Cervasio of the Child Abuse Bureau and Assistant District Attorney Christine Hatfield, Deputy Bureau Chief of the Child Abuse Bureau prosecuted the case.
