Defendant: John Pacor   (DOB 10/14/74)

Aug. 29, 2018 -- Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced that John Pacor of Valhalla was arraigned Tuesday in Greenburgh Town Court on charges related to stealing thousands of dollars from his homeowners association. Pacor surrendered earlier in the day to Mount Pleasant Police. He was charged with one count of Grand Larceny in the Second Degree, a felony.                                                

He was released on his own recognizance and is expected back in court Nov. 15, 2018.

Background
John Pacor is an attorney and a former board member of the Pleasant Ridge Homeowners Association (HOA) in Valhalla where he lives with his wife and children. His wife is a former president of the HOA and his mother was the treasurer. The felony complaint alleges, between November 2012 and April 2014, Pacor deposited 51 checks from the Pleasant Ridge HOA bank account totaling $93,955.00 into his own checking account for his own purposes.

In August 2017, members of the HOA discovered the theft and filed a complaint with Mount Pleasant Police Department. 

The case is being prosecuted by the District Attorney’s Office Investigations Division Economic Crimes Unit.
